Who we are

The data controller for the personal information described here is Yu4rik Enterprise Limited, trading as Wildyard, a company registered in England and Wales under number 15341419. Its registered office is 37 Wilson Court, Anstey Way, Trumpington, Cambridge, England, CB2 9GU. For anything about your data, write to sales@wildyard.co.uk or call 07436 441534. We are a small business and do not have a separate data protection officer; the same address reaches the people who can help.

What we collect, why, and on what basis

UK data protection law asks us to have a lawful basis for each thing we do with your information. Ours are set out plainly under each heading, with the article of the UK GDPR they come from in brackets.

When you enquire

When you write to us — by email, by phone, on WhatsApp or through the contact page — we hold what you send: usually your name, email address, phone number, postcode, a description of your garden and access, and any photographs. We use it to reply, to work out whether and how we can deliver to you, and to quote. Our basis is that this is necessary to take the steps you have asked us to take before entering a contract with you (Article 6(1)(b)).

When you order

If you buy through the site, payment is taken by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and we never see or store them. Stripe passes us your name, email address, the UK delivery address you entered, the specification you chose and the amount paid. If you order by email instead, we hold the same kind of details from our correspondence. We use them to confirm and build your order, arrange delivery, keep warranty records and deal with any questions or problems afterwards. Our basis is performing our contract with you (Article 6(1)(b)). We also keep records of what you paid and what we supplied because tax and company law require us to; our basis for that is complying with a legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)).

When you visit the site

The site is hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, its servers keep standard technical logs — IP address, browser type, pages requested and timings — for security, to diagnose faults and to keep the site running. We also use Vercel Analytics to see, in aggregate, which pages are read and roughly where visitors come from; how that works is described under Cookies and analytics below. Our basis for both is our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website and understanding how it is used (Article 6(1)(f)), which we have judged does not override your interests because the information is minimal, anonymised where it can be, and not used to identify or follow you.

Marketing

We do not keep a marketing or newsletter list and we will not add you to one. If that ever changes we will ask you first and update this notice.

Who processes it

We share personal information only where it is needed to do the job, with these providers and categories of provider:

• Stripe takes payment when you buy through the site and handles the card details we never see. Stripe also uses the information it collects for its own purposes, such as fraud prevention, under its own privacy policy.
• Vercel hosts the site and provides the analytics described below, and so processes the technical logs and analytics data mentioned above.
• Our email provider, the service that hosts the sales@wildyard.co.uk mailbox, stores the messages you send us and we send you.
• WhatsApp, run by Meta, if you choose to message us that way. Your messages travel through WhatsApp under Meta’s own terms and privacy policy, and we see your number and whatever you send.
• Hauliers and crane firms, once you order and only for your delivery. They receive your name, delivery address, a contact number and any access notes or photographs they need so they can find the gate and ring you on the day.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, for example to HMRC. We do not sell or rent your details to anyone, and we do not share them with advertisers.

Some of these providers process data outside the United Kingdom. Where they do, the transfer is made under a mechanism recognised by UK data protection law: either the destination has been found by the UK to offer adequate protection, or contractual safeguards approved for UK transfers are in place with the provider. Ask us if you would like more detail about a particular provider.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only for as long as we reasonably need it for the purpose we collected it, and different things are kept for different lengths of time:

• Enquiries that do not become orders: we keep your messages and photographs for as long as the conversation is live and a reasonable period afterwards in case you come back to it, and then delete them. In practice that is usually within twelve months of our last exchange.
• Orders and warranty records: your order details, correspondence, delivery notes and photographs of the delivered building are kept for the length of any warranty on the goods and for a reasonable period afterwards so we can deal with faults, questions and claims.
• Financial and tax records: the records of what you paid and what we supplied are kept for as long as tax and company law require, currently six years from the end of the financial year they relate to.
• Technical logs and analytics: kept by Vercel for the short periods set out in its own retention policies; we do not keep separate copies.

When a period ends we delete the information or strip it of anything that identifies you.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have a number of rights over your information. Depending on the circumstances you can:

• Access: ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• Rectification: ask us to correct anything that is wrong or incomplete.
• Erasure: ask us to delete your information where we no longer have a good reason to keep it.
• Restriction: ask us to pause using your information while a question about it is sorted out.
• Objection: object to our using your information where we rely on legitimate interests.
• Portability: ask for the information you gave us in a machine-readable form so you can take it elsewhere.
• Withdraw consent: if we ever rely on your consent for anything, withdraw it at any time. At the moment we do not.

To use any of these, write to sales@wildyard.co.uk. We will respond within a month and will not charge you unless the law allows it. We do not make decisions about you by automated means and we do not profile you.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK regulator, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113, though we would appreciate the chance to put it right first.

Cookies and analytics

The pages on this site do not set cookies of their own, and we do not run advertising cookies, a Meta pixel, Google Ads tags or any other third-party tracker. What does run:

• Vercel Analytics counts page views. It does not use cookies and does not follow you across other websites. It records which page was viewed, which site sent you here, the type of browser and device you used and a rough, country-level location, and it distinguishes one visitor from another using a hashed identifier that is discarded at the end of each day rather than by storing your IP address. We see totals, not individuals.
• Stripe Checkout: when you press Buy you leave this site for a payment page run by Stripe. Stripe sets its own cookies on its own pages for security and fraud prevention, under its own privacy policy. Nothing from Stripe runs on Wildyard’s pages.
• WhatsApp links simply open WhatsApp with our number filled in. Nothing is loaded from Meta until you choose to follow the link.

Changes

If we change how we handle data — for example by adding a newsletter or a different analytics tool — we will update this page first. This version was last updated in September 2026.
